Measure your foot and find the range it falls into: that's your size. Example: 23.5 cm sits between 23.4 and 23.6, so you're a 37½.
- Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe.
- Measure the distance between the wall and the mark.
- Do it on both feet, preferably in the evening, and use the longer one.
- Find that length in the table above.
Lasts and constructions differ between models, so the same size can feel slightly different from one pair to another. If you are between two sizes, or your foot is wide or slim, write to us before ordering: we will help you choose.
If the size is not right, you can exchange it for free within 14 days of delivery. Write to us: we book the GLS pickup and send you the new size of the same model at no cost to you. The free exchange applies to shoes in stock, not to pre-orders.
Exchanges and returns apply to unworn shoes, with their box and dust bag. You can also return them for a refund within 14 days of delivery, sale items included; in that case you pay for return shipping.

Frequently asked questions
How long does delivery take and how much does shipping cost?
Every order ships from Genoa, Italy. Items in stock are prepared and shipped within 1–2 business days. Delivery usually takes 24/48 business hours in Italy, about 3 business days in the European Union and about 7 business days outside the European Union. Shipping in Italy is free. For other countries the cost depends on the destination and the weight of your order, and you see it at checkout before you pay. Pre-orders ship as soon as the shoes are ready: the expected timing is shown on the product page.
Can I return my shoes?
Yes. You can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason: write to saxoneofscotland@gmail.com with your order number. Shoes must be unworn, in their original box and shoe bag, so please try them on indoors on a clean, soft surface. Return shipping costs are paid by you, unless the item is defective, damaged on delivery or different from the one you ordered. We refund the amount paid using the same payment method you used. Pre-orders can be cancelled before they ship for a full refund.
Can I exchange for a different size or colour?
To change size or colour, return the item following the return steps and place a new order for the one you want.
How do I choose my size?
Choose your size from the length of your foot in centimetres, using our size guide. Measure your foot in the evening, on a sheet of paper, from the heel to your longest toe, on both feet, and use the longer foot. Our fit is regular. If you have a high instep or a wide foot, consider sizing up; if your foot is slim, half a size down. If you are in doubt, write to us with your foot length in centimetres and the model you like, and we will help you choose.
How do I care for smooth leather and suede?
Smooth leather: remove dust with a soft brush or cloth, apply a little neutral or matching cream, then polish; let them dry naturally away from heat and use shoe trees between wears. Suede: brush only when dry with a suede brush; remove light marks with a suede eraser without rubbing too hard; use a protector suited to the colour, testing it first on a hidden spot; never creams or polish. If they get wet, let them dry away from heat.
What does Goodyear welted construction mean?
Goodyear construction is sturdier than Blake and allows the shoes to be resoled.
